super times poker

On the WizardofOdds web site;

On the super times pay page last updated Feb 23, 2009, the avg
multiplyer is stated to be 4.05.

On the double super times page last update Nov 10, 2010, the avg
multiplyer nis stated to be 4.01.

If the avg multiplyer is in fact 4.01, I calculate no advantage to
playing 7 coins over 6 coins or even over 5 coins.

Is the 4.01 a misprint (it appears twice) or am I doing something wrong
with my math?

Bill C.

No. All of multiplier info is accurate and stated within the help screens of
the game. There is a special rule though for Double Super Times Pay that
very rarely occurs (On average slightly more often than once every 9.75
million deals.). On a dealt royal if you were due to get a deal multiplier,
then both the deal and draw multiplier automatically become 10x!

You really have to check out the wizards analysis. Yeah, the average bonus times multiplier , be it forward or back is 4.01 but...
a. dealt super bonus on dealt royal if multiplier ( this is rare, and adds little to the total payback ).
b. forward multiplier
c. backward ( on draw ) multiplier
d. additive multiplier ( its possible to get 10X on draw + 10X on deal = 20 X for a hand ).
thus wizard is absolutely correct in stating you get a .5 ( on average ) better EV for the seven coin bet over just 5 coins.
...best Tom
