I was recently at the Orleans and just inside one of the entrances
they had a bank of Progressive Video poker machines (multiline) that
were very popular. Most were playing I think it was called Super pay
aces or Super bonus aces , four aces was worth 2000 nickels. Does
anyone know where I could find the game in order to practice the
correct strategy? I have Win poker but it's not a choice.
super Bonus aces ?
You can set up this game on WinPoker (I did) by changing the pays on, say, Double Bonus. If you want to play Double Bonus again, just ask it for the default values.

My best guess is that this is Super Aces. Check that the paytable shows 8
for full house and 5 for flush payouts. In Winpoker, go to file, new, then
click on games and choose double double bonus. Now, click on options,
change paytable, and set to the following values:
Royal Flush 4000
Straight Flush 300
Four Aces 2000
Four 2-4s 400
Four 5-Ks 250
Full House 40
Flush 25
Straight 20
Three of Kind 15
Two Pair 5
Jacks or Better 5
Remember that there is no kicker in this game so assign 2000 as the payout
for both 4 aces and also for 4 aces with 2,3,4. Click on file, save as, and
name it super aces, or whatever name you prefer. You're good to go.
Whenever you want to play this game, just click on file, open, the name that
you assigned to the file and your game with the paytable that you created is
ready to roll.

I agree with Karen, use Double Bonus. Just go to the change paytable option
on Winpoker and set up the correct value to represent Super Aces. The key
hands are Full house; flush and the straight. Which should be 8,5,4,
respectively. I got my strat sheet from Skip Hughes site when I belong years
ago. There are other. I believe his was from VPSM. It is a simple game to
master, I think, and I enjoy playing it on the Ten plays in Shreveport.
Watch out for the Volatility though, it's a killer at 63! I would get the
whole paytable on your Strat sheet and check the entire table, Harrah's like
to play with the numbers. That is, before you assume it is the 99.9% version
of the game. When I was there (in NO)I didn't notice any full pay SA, but
then again I didn't look at every single game. I have noticed that know
matter what the paytable there seem to be plenty of people playing, be
careful, I've been burned a couple of times.
Live long and prosper!

Thanks a million Nudge! I also found a website that had Super Aces
online to use for practice. Most importantly I never knew how to
change the pay tables before in WinPoker.
Thanks again! -Judy
