Super Aces at Majestic - ouch

One brutal thing about super aces is that four aces account for almost 10% of the total payback. My play at that game last Thursday was not very good either. I only played for about twenty minutes and dumped $160 into that game even though I did manage to convert three kings into a quad once.

I was expecting to owe Howard a dinner after identifying a 5 play
$.25 Super Aces machine, but no such luck. This thing just hoovered
my wallet in record speed. I don't think I ever dumped $800 into a
machine as rapidly and got absolutely nothing. I'm exagerating of
course, but about 8 pat hands consisting of only straights and
flushes over the course of $800 counts as nothing in my book.
Ocassionally trips would surface, but no resulting quads were ever
hit. As I'm typing this I'm still in a state of disbelief over how
bad the hands were. Although my DDB debacle on Multi-Strike was
greater in magnitude it took me a lot longer to lose. Had I been
shoveling bills into Multi-Strike at a comparable rate I could easily
have lost $4k. Has anyone won any money playing Majestic's 5play $.25
Super Aces for any appreciable amount of time?

I play Super Aces at Belterra on a 10-Play 5c machine and can attest
to its volatility. The good news is that at the 5c level you can
ride over the "bumps" without having to have too big a bankroll.

I have found that 6000 coins is a good "average" amount to get the
Aces and Royals to even things out. Of course this is only $300 on
the 5c and a more heafty $1500 on the 25c machines.

I once went through 10000 coins in a session without hitting Aces or
a royal though... but then drew Trip Aces and converted three of them!

This is definitely a game for the brave!
