Was there this last week...forget the day but not the weekend. Talked to one
of the "supervisors" who said their business didn't show any downturn because
of the removal of the FPDW. The place looked quite busy. Maybe it was just
a brave management front ...remember they are really the only thriving
property out there in that area of Summerlin. They have a built-in clientele
that uses the place for their
bowling, movies, eating out, etc.

We've been to the Suncoast twice this month. The first was Saturday (3/1)
since we had comped tickets to see George Shearing. We could hardly find a
place to park -- the place was jammed. After the concert (around 9 PM), it
would have been difficult to even get a seat on the NSUD! This past Tuesday
(3/11) we were there again to redeem food coupons, bounceback and free
gifts. The place seemed as busy as ever, especially the table games. I get
the feeling the Suncoast hasn't suffered very much, if at all, by getting
rid of their FPDW. At first, I wondered if Coast was making a big PR
mistake. Someone said that this will all make sense when Coast goes
system-wide with some sort of new and improved slot club system. Wouldn't
it have made more sense to "improve" their slot club system BEFORE they
removed all the good games? They'd have to improve it an awful lot before
I'll play their negative games!
