Suncoast has a large ad in today's Las Vegas Review Journal.
It states that they have over 6,800 video poker games with payouts of over 99%.
They also refer to themselves as The "Looser" Local Favorite.
Does anyone care to speculate on the reason for this add?
Have they been loosing business? Are they just being defensive? Are they trying to attract new business?

I'm surprised there's been no follow-up to this post (maybe there aren't
that many LVRJ readers here). I saw the ad this morning and had my best
laugh of the day out of it. I don't know how many .25/.50 10/7 DB Suncoast
still has, but wouldn't it have made better sense to say they had X amount
of over 100% machines, rather than 6800 (yikes!) 99% games (note games, not
machines) if they really want to call themselves "the looser locals
favorite"? We will be there Saturday night (free tickets to George
Shearing) and see how many folks are playing their "loose" NSUD.

SC is gambling that they can get away with being Shreveport or Tunica. I'm
sure they commissioned some lame marketing survey which indicated that the
good people of Summerlin were too lazy to drive 30 minutes to play good
games. Maybe this will work short term but once Charleston Station opens
the worm will turn. As far as most optimum players are concerned, they are
now persona non grata at SC and follow the philosophy, any publicity is good
publicity, so just ignore them.
