Suncoast Slot House

More than a few vpFREE members have posted messages about downgrades
at the Suncoast. I will add that after not going there in a few weeks,
I was surprised to see even more VP machines removed. Banks I used to
play are gone. Maybe it is selective memory, but I would have no
problem betting that 50 machines were removed since my last visit.

Is the Suncoast just conceding VP to the Rampart and Red Rock?

I went to Suncoast tonight, figuring I have to use my free play on something. I checked 8 or so banks, looking for .25 NSUD, but didn't find any. Resigned, I sat at a bank of (I don't know what you call it!) .50 15/9 NSUD. Our combined $50 free play turned into $160 thanks to two wild royals. I took the money and ran over to the Rampart, where I won an additional $50 (would have been more, but I got greedy). On my way out of the Suncoast, I checked a few more banks looking for .25 NSUD. I found only one bank -- the slant-tops. I don't know if there are any others, since I didn't check everything. At any rate, even .25 NSUD is hard to find at the Suncoast. What a shame.

Here in Illinois we call that game Illinois Deuces. And it really is
unfortunate that the Suncoast has become such a VP wasteland. I
remember when the joint first opened --- acres of full play
everything, the first all TITO casino, thousands of smiling players,
etc. Ironically, a lot of the money used to build the Suncoast came
from profits derived from the Gold Coast and the Orleans, which both
relied heavily on full pay VP to enrich their bottom lines.
