I don't know why I'm attempting to comment on this. People were so irate
over the removal of the FPDW, I thought we were going to have a bonfire
protest and all burn our cards.
I, personally, found the above comment a bit accusatory somewhat implying
that a true devotee to VP positive games would never grace the property
again. There are many Strip properties that members of this list support
that only have 9/6 JOB but provide reasonable rooms and food comps to make
this negative game playable with a nice vacation thrown in.
We mustn't take these changes personally. I once played at Caesar's Palace
on FPDW with a 1% cashback card and every gift, party, food perk, shows you'd
want. When they were removed, it was shocking and after protesting to
management there were still playable 10/7 machines and various levels of 9/6
JOB.
I continue to play minimally at the Suncoast. I am just a few thousand
points away from my 1 million level and the jacket. My hidden "food comp"
account is still viable and for a few points/month, I have access to rates at
a place where the rooms are good and golf is available. Why throw away the
little clout I've amassed because the games are now more limited? Until,
there is nothing left, why not "milk" the favors you've already earned by
being a player of a certain status?
Are we traitors to the cause? It is easily becoming "musical chairs" time as
the inventory of FPDW dwindles even further. I'm surprised it lasted this
long. The timing of this seems to coincide with some management casino
conference held earlier this year.
Maybe some of the "consultants" suggested elimination of any positive games.
It is just too coincidental that ye old Ariz Charlies have removed their FPDW
bank and the 10/7 Progressive at this same time. Are we going to lynch any
of the consultants that may be advising the casinos as to higher profits? I
hope not!
I hope krallison continues to play at those properties she enjoys and not be
intimidated by someone else"s version of what you should be doing!
