Suncoast News

I believe the Suncoast has finally downgraded all the
50c and $1 NSUD. The last bank with these (that I knew
of) near the front door had NSUD last week, but not
today.

Suncoast now has buffet discounts for seniors 50+ for
about $2.00 off the regular price. Breakfast is $4.49,
lunch is $6.49 and dinner and Sunday brunch are
$10.49. Friday seafood dinner buffet is excluded.

Received an email from the Suncoast today announcing
double points March 9, 10, 11, 16, 17 and 18.

I knew this was going to happen. I was there Monday night playing them when a mechanic arrived to put notes on the machines that they were to be made "up to date." Our conversation:
Me: I hope you're not going to downgrade the 50-cent deuces. This is the last bank in the whole casino that I know of.
Jean-Claude (lying mechanic): No, we're not downgrading them -- just updating them. (Note: I was told exactly this when the downgrading at the bars occurred last December.)
Me: How are you updating them?
Jean-Claude: I don't know.
Me: If you don't know how you're updating them, then how do you know they're not downgrading them?
J-C: I can check the paperwork and get back to you.
Me: Thanks. I'd appreciate it.
(Note: I stayed at least another hour and he never came back. So since I was feeling feisty -- and having lost over $200 -- I went to the slot club on the way out and asked to speak to the most senior suit they could find.)
I bitched and moaned about the bank, but no one would tell me what they were planning to do. The best line I got out of him was "We have to be competitive." I told him that if they got rid of the last 50-cent deuces, they had at least 70 machines of them at the Rampart, and that's where I'd be playing from now on. He just blew me off, telling me that if I wanted to know what they were doing to the bank, that I'd have to go there later and find out for myself.
For a while (a short while!) I imagined that maybe they'd pull an Orleans and make the bank full-pay deuces. So thanks, Ms. VPFae, for saving me the trouble.
