Stupak

I was also one of those that got lured by his ads.
Also, discovered free play on only designated machines
and quickly figured out it was a losing prop.

You could use the credit to play at the tables but you
got your money back only and not an equal amount
for the special chip. So I played it all on one shot.
Can't recall whether it was craps or BJ. I won and
all it meant was I got my money back.

Never went back but had to admire Stupak for his
clever gimmicks like no craps crap, etc. Too bad
for you if you couldn't figure things out that there
were no good games there.

We went a couple of times. The busboy told us the trick. Go
to roulette and split your free money on red and black. Then
put a chip on both zero and double zero. Between that and
the small return on the select slots you end up with 3 nites
for a pittance. This was when we lived in New Jersey. We did
not yet know about 100% machines. We learned about them when
we moved to vegas in 1996. I bought Bob Dancer's three books
ans found out about deuces. The rest is history. Never had a
losing year since.

The big problem was not knowing how to beat them, but one of endurance. The coupons were paced so that you had to play them
over 8 hours of time, NOT all at once. Heck, this is when places like Harrahs had $ full pay deuces and 4700 coin FP jokers, and downtown
had 101 plays coming out of the woodwork. The Frontier would give you a free room for playing 1 hr of craps ( $5 line - $50 odds ) or 1 hour
of 50C FP deuces. Strat - Not worth it if you were in the know...Tom

I guess living New Jersey on a very tight budget with providing for 5 kids didn"t let us IN THE KNOW!!!!!!!! we got IN THE KNOW when the kids were grown and we moved vegas in 1996. Never had a losing year.
