All 3 downtown Boyd properties offer the Silver and Gold food comp cards to qualified players. The main thing is to ask for it from a host, I have never seen them offered via mail to myself, and I have been getting these cards for a number of years.

Thank you for posting this info. Do you or anyone else know if the Cal offers a deal like this for one's play there?
Regards,

MSS offers a silver or gold card option to well established players. You need to have a 4 trip average in a certain range to be offered one of these cards. The silver card allows you to eat at ANY of the non gourmet restaurants( all bars as well) at MSS,The Cal or The Fremont which includes the buffets and any cafes(777 included)or snack bars.
The gold card adds all of the gourmet restaurants at the three properties which include Tony Romas, the Rosewood Grill and Second Street Grill.
The advantage to these cards is that you can eat at ANY of the 3 properties as opposed to asking a host who can only comp you at your home property AND the fact that you don't have to ask a host or ever use any points for food. I have been getting a gold card for many years now and find it invaluable.SteveB
