Strip VP Advice Requested

I'm going to LV Thursday. I'm no stranger to LV, but this will be my
first serious VP trip (I've previously been a BJ and craps player).

I've been reading posts here in the group and learning a lot over the
past several weeks. I've got JB strategy pretty well down, and will
have some DB practice before I go.

But I'd appreciate any advice from the old hands about where to go,
and any other VP suggestions. I'll be staying center strip (TI) and
it looks like there are precious few full pay machines in the area. I
fear I may be wandering around strip casinos all day looking for
machines that were removed long ago. Should I get off the strip to
avoid looking for a needle in the haystack?

I should mention I'm hesitant to play higher limits until I have more
experience under my belt. so I'm not looking for a recommendation on
that great $25 machine...

Thanks for any comments!

Steve

Seems that you know there are no full pay slots of
the strip (oh, one or two).

My advice is to play at one of the Fiesta Casinos,
either Henderson or Rancho. Your choice and I
stay there since your play will also get you comps
unless you have other reasons for staying on the
strip.

I would start off with 5 cents deuces wild at the
optimum play machines. The JoB are not full pay
and DB is a difficult game to play for a beginner.
You have not done your homework.

If you don't have itk, would get Winpoker and
practice.

Steve. You may want to consider taking the free shuttle from Harrah's
to Sam's Town. They got good 25cent machines there. The shuttle takes a
round about route to get to and from Harrah's...about a 45 min ride. So
take that into consideration. There are also free shuttles from Harrah's
to the Rio/ Paalms area...but you may need to show a Rio or Harrah's
room key to board it.

Click on the following link to the vpree cross directory. It lists the casinos that have the games that you are interested in.
http://members.cox.net/vpfree/CD.htm . You can't beat Caesars for variety of 9/6 JB in a high end casino. If you like 9/6 jb you should also consider something like 8/5 bonus poker with a progressive Royal, they have suited Royals at the Stardust that often get positive.
They have 8/5 ACES$ bonus with a progressive Royal at the Frontier. They also have 8/5 Aces and Eights at the Circus Circus,
same strategy good payback with big bonus on sequential Royal and a progressive on the regular royal. Since you are familiar with Vegas you should also check this vpree link and see what the casinos that you are familiar with or like do have ..
