There was discussion some time ago about the Valet Noir website (I
believe Harry started it). I signed up after that and received an
occassional email from them with a phone number I was to call if
they could be of any service to me. I never responded.
Then, about a month ago I received a phone call from a woman at
Valet Noir saying she was assigned to be my personal rep. Asked me
where I like to play... and for anything I might be considering in
the near future. As it turned out, I had just decided to book a trip
for my semester break. I told her I was considering a "tropical"
vacation (island, maybe a cruise). She got all excited and told me
about the Norwegian CL Deal. She said my level of play would qualify
me for a totally comped cruise for a week plus $100 a day in
spending money (for the tours, gift shops, alcohol, etc). She also
said NCL was trying to become a gambler's destination and that they
were looking for input on what would bring more gamblers to their
ships. She told me of a man who played roulette, but would only come
if there were no "00." She claims NCL complied and changed to a
single "0" roulette wheel. While all of this sounded good - I needed
to know paytables. I told her so and asked if she could get me that
info. I must say this rep was great. She was very prompt about
getting me answers and calling me back each time within 24 hours.
She not only got a list of all games available (vp-wise), but a
complete pay schedule for every game on the ship - which she emailed
to me. It was very disappointing... worse than Indian Casinos
(example: 6/5 JB). I told her I never expected great/Vegas-like
paytables, but that those were deplorable and that no one who really
liked (made sure I didn't use "proficient" or anything like that) VP
would ever be interested in NCL's offerings. My response caused her
to drop the cruise idea and we moved on to talk of Vegas and NO.
They have very few Vegas casinos as customers yet and none were ones
of any interest to me. And realistically, what could she really do
for me that I couldn't do for myself with a host? She said she could
save me time by booking all of my trip (room, meals, shows). For
some this may be a benefit. I prefer doing those things for myself.
Maybe I'm being short-sighted. Anyway... just wanted to give you the
scoop on what I learned about Valet Noir and NCL.
BTW: The strictly slots link did not work for me.

Any chance that information might be tapped to add to the databases
here for an inventory of attractive cruise line vp?
For that matter, anyone have access to those details?
