I wrote a wonderful article for them once, which they commissioned ahead of
time. Truly different than anything they had ever printed. A combo
travel/casino article about crossing rural Nevada. I coined the phrase "Nevada Outback"
in the title. They sat on the article forever and then paid me what they
call a kill fee to NOT print it. Instead they printed an article with only a
tenth of the content of mine, none of the humour, but it was promoting a book. I
never submitted anything else to them.
