There is an error in the article: 25/15/9/4/4/3 "Ugly Ducks" returns
98.91%, not 99.91% as stated. Unlike the other contributors to
Casino Player-Strictly Slots, Dancer has always been meticulous in
his writings; but in his recent articles in CP-SS, I came across two
other errors, so even Dancer is getting sloppy too. This article was
in the "Beginners Corner" and the intended audience may truly be
misinformed.
Overall, CP-SS are by far the most sloppy magazines I've come across-
--even the advice they gave out in their "Readers Talk Back"
sections very often contained blatant errors and contradictions. And
these errors were never acknowledged or corrected in subsequent
issues, an inexcusable dis-service to their readers.
It's painfully clear that proofreading is an alien concept to CP-SS,
and with the exception of Dancer, none of their writers even bother
to read their own writings (I'm absolutely certain that Henry
Tamburin doesn't read Henry Tamburin).
With QOC (I always believe that Royalties should have their very own
abbreviated Titles, like QEII for Queen Elizabeth The Second, or KGV
for King George The Fifth, so why not QOC for Queen Of Comps?)
contributing less, a reader over the past year may even conclude
that Bob and Skip are the only two video poker writers on this
planet. What happened to those great writers like Royal Cat and
Winnie Grand? It really seems like there is a conscientious effort
by the editors of CP-SS to strangle variety and diversity. But for
me, CP-SS need to give me a better reason to re-new my subscriptions
other than the chance to read about the RNG or Dancer writing about
inside straights for what seems like the 100th time.
