The Stratosphere is running big ads in the RJ for a "new" Winner's
Circle Casino Area including "over 100% return on video poker." Is this
really anything new or the same few machines they have had for awhile?
Anyone been there lately? Anything new to report?

In the back corner of the casino between the quarter Wheel of Fortune
slots, and the deli, is 2 round banks of approximately 5 machines each.
They are uprights and multi-denominational. .25-.50-1.00 that are
advertised as over 100% payback. 3 games on each machine. DB, DDB, LDW,
only. We were there little over a week ago. Pay tables are indeed
positive, but we played all games and took a bath on these. NOT a
single thing over the course of 3 days. I'm sure you've played machines
before that took your money as fast as you put it in. Also you get that
feeling that they are dead and giving nothing. That's how these were.
No quads in DB or DDB, few trips, and an occasional straight or flush
and that was it. Rarely saw a deuce let alone 2 in the LDW. We finally
gave up and went to some of their older machines across the casino.
Might have just been one of those trips but these really beat us to
death. They seemed relatively new so maybe we loosened them up for you.
Ha!! Go get our money back for us pal!!
