Stratosphere Mail Offers

I have a friend going to Vegas this weekend (not that I'm jealous)who
really loves the Strat. Please don't ask me why, I haven't figured
out the infatuation he has with this place.

Anyway, the wife and I have finally convinced this couple to actually
join slot clubs and even try to learn VP. Now we want to intoduce
them to the joy of the casino mailer.

Does anybody have any idea how many points it takes to generate
future mail offers?

Keep in mind these people will be playing slots, along with BJ & VP.
He actually said to me, "We mainly play dollar slots, there's no way
we can get anything comped."

Any other ideas onplaces of this caliber they can try to establish
themselves would be great. I have told them too hit MSS, but they
don't seem to be too enamored with the whole downtown scene.

Thanks for all the great advice.

Jon

I don't know how many points it takes, but I would guess that they WILL get offers if they play at the level you say they do. We didn't play there nearly that much and got mailers for free hotel stays. In fact, we just stopped in there one night and played some table games for several hours and that was enough to get them starting "courting" us!

If all you did was play table games how would they know who you were
to make the "courting" statement? Surely they didn't recognize you.

We always turn our player's card in when we buy into a table game. Then the pit boss puts it in the system and watches us and keeps track of our bets throughout the night. Anytime we change tables, we turn in our card again to make sure they are still keeping track and still know we are there.

I haven't played there in a few years, but we used to get free room and some
food offers on my 2-4 hour quarter vp play (when they had the good stuff)
and my husband's 2-4 hour table play (mostly $5 Caribbean Stud). I would
think that 4 hours of $ slot play would generate at least a couple of room
nights.

stopped completely.

I went in the Strat on a trip last October, signed up, used the
matchplay coupons and played $20 or so on a few random machines. I
received a couple of room offers by mail, but most have been in the
form of email that I can't read, even after clicking the link that
says, "Click here if you can't see the offer." They may have been
offering me RFB and I wouldn't know it. Mail offers have dried up.
