Strategy Rev Q? DB to DDB

Mark,

Does anyone care to give me a few key "optimal" strategy changes when
switching from 10/7 DB to a standard 400/200/200/100/50/50/9/6/4/3/1/1 DDB
(assume both with a Prog royal at about 4700 coins if that matters)?

First, "full-pay" DDB is more than a full percent worse than full-pay DB.
So there would have to be a very strong reason to play the DDB.

Second, 9-6 DDB is much closer to 9-6 JoB than it is to DB; the lower
straight and flush pays relative to DB take away most of the lines that make
DB relatively complicated.

So, starting with 9-6 JoB, strategy changes when changing to DDB include:

hold a 4-card inside straight instead of redraw;
hold just a lone Ace instead of AK, AQ, AJ;
hold just a lone Ace instead of the two face cards from AKQ or AKJ;
hold a 4-card inside straight with two high cards;
hold a 4-card outside straight with at least one high card instead of mid pair;
hold a pair of aces instead of two pair;
hold trip aces instead of full house;
hold kicker if A,2,3,4, but redraw others, when dealt quads.

There are other changes, but most of them depend on RF jackpot level.

This is GREAT, just what I wanted, short, sweet, memorizeable. Thanks

I get lured to the numerous quarter DDB banks when the Progressives
approach the magic $1199 cut-off. Granted, this isn't the best of
plays, but it's a quirk of mine, so...there.

(The 1% long-term payback difference doesn't influence my decision to
make these occasional forays.)
