The best reason to choose suited Ace, Ten over just the Ace is that
you're playing a progressive machine ...

Why do you say "no High Cards, other than the Ace" - Jack is a high
card isn't it?
I thought those three strategies just referred to plain vanilla 9/6
JoB; no progressive explicitly stated.
If you're trying to determine whether to hold the Ace or suited Ace, Ten in "plain vanilla" 9/6 JOB--that's non-progressive--then the best ER strategy is to hold just the Ace. The reason I specified "no High Cards, other than the Ace" is that another High Card, for example the Jack that you mentioned, would throw another consideration into the mix. Dealt suited Ace, Ten with an off-suit Jack, Queen or King, you would hold the two High Cards as first choice--High Cards are Ace, King, Queen and Jack. With no Flush penalty in the suit of the Ace, Ten the Ace, Ten combo would be your fourth choice--with a Flush penalty in the suit of the Ace, Ten, it would be your fifth choice.
