Strategy Cards and how to read them.

This looks like part of a strategy chart for 9-6 Jacks or better with a bigger than normal royal flush. (This might be at 4700 coins.) It is telling you what cards to keep. You look for the hand highest up the chart that you have. The values shown to the left are the average return per $1 bet for the hands shown. You want to keep the hand which on average will get you the most money back.
Example: Your dealt kc, qc, 10c, ks, 3h. You could keep it as either Kc, Qc, 10c which is number 15 on your chart or Kc, Ks which is number 16.
You play the higher hand on the chart. The chart your showing is larger than 4000 coin royal as these plays are reversed at 4000. Also your chart does not show penalty cards. Your chart is the equivalent of a "basic strategy" card for BJ. Your chart does not include penalty cards which is the VP equivalent of card counting but is much less important than it is at BJ. An example of a penalty card in the above hand would be if the 3h was the 3c. The value of kc, qc, 10c would be lower because it is less likely to turn into a flush with one less club available.
Note: On wild card games such a chart will be broken up into sections depending on the number of wild cards you hold.
I hope this helps.

Subject: [vpFREE] Strategy Cards and how to read them.

OK! Call me stupid but can someone give me a brief explanation as
how to read the Strategy Cards. I've been going to Vegas for years.
Play mostly Black Jack or Hold 'em. Once in a while I'll sit down an
play VP but I would like to learn it the right way. Would Dancers'
or Boyds' book be the way to go? I've had a fair amount of success
at VP but nothing to write home about like some of you guys/gals. I
guess what I'm looking for is some kind of chart that says what you
should hold and what you shoud discard.

Are these odds for a winning hand if you have these cards in your
hand?

Thanks much and sorry for the stupid question....
