Feb. 11 I started the process of inquiry through the Harrah's
customer service. I received a timely (but unsatisfactory) response.
I continued to pursue the matter through customer service.
On 2/25 I was contacted by a Total Rewards Supervisor with her
direct e-mail. She said the matter had been turned over to her and
assured me that she would research the matter completely. She was
able to contact Corporate headquarters and find their error. It had
to do with credits earned at Lake Charles that had inadvertantly
been deleted when they closed out accounts there after Hurricane
Rita shut the casino down. (I guess I was lucky my credits weren't
affected.)
Long story short -- the 7,796 credits appeared in his account today!!
Lessons learned:
1) Sometimes you just can't accept the first answer you are given.
2) I was able to continue to pursue this matter because of the
records I had kept; so check your accounts frequently,
even when you have not been on a property in a while.
3) BUT the biggest lesson I learned: PRINT out the account
summaries. I had only been keeping a spreadsheet, but now I do both.
That way I will have definitve proof.
Even though it took almost 6 weeks to resolve, I give kudos to the
Supervisor for her diligence and patience --she kept me updated 2 or
3 times a week.
I've been checking my husband's and my account frequently lately to
see if our Caesars account balances had been transferred. When I
checked hubby's account yesterday, it had DROPPED 7,796 points
since Wednesday. We have not been to a Harrah's property since Dec.
2005.
AND both of our TR accounts now have a date of Feb. 9, instead of
the Dec. 28,2005 that has been posted on our accounts ever since
our
last visit on Dec. 28, 2005. My account has ONE additional credit,
and hubby's account has 7,796 credits less. Obviously "something"
happened on our accounts Feb. 9. Our tier credits still reflect -

I have contacted Customer Service and await a reply.
Hopefully, this is just a glitch in the transition process. I was
just wondering if anyone else had noticed any strange happenings.
