Strange experience at Sparks Nugget

Last month I played a dollar JoB VP machine at the Nugget in Sparks. My original $100 investment increased to around $900 in about an hour. I had a bunch of 4 of a kind payouts. The machine paid out originally in credits but kicked into paying out with silver dollars after a certain limit. As I kept on winning, the coins being dispensed started jamming. I had to have the change crew come by 3 times to unjam the dispenser and refill the coins in the machine. Suddenly the change crew closed the machine for repairs. They ended up replacing the innards of my machine with that of a neighboring machine that had been losing. After making the replacement, they invited me to continue of the same machine with new innards saying that I should keep on winning. Of course I lost back some of my winnings quickly.

Looking back, I wonder if I could have insisted on playing the oroginal winning machine even if it required the change crew to keep unjamming the dispenser and refilling the coins. Do I have that right or was I required to allow them to essentially change the winning machine into a loser? Thanks for any insights.

Corollary: After giving up on the VP machine, I played a regular quarter slots machine nearby. After around 10 minutes, the machine started to light up and ring some bells. The change girl said that I had won a progressive and said to wait while she went to get the jackpot money. When she returned, she said that the machine had malfunctioned and that all she could pay me was what was left on my slot ticket. Arguing with her and the pit boss got nowhere. I don't know if I want to go back to the Nugget again.

Sure it was the JA Nugget ? All the 9/6 machines I played were TITO. The deuces deluxe and the DJD machine are coin droppers though

Its very very rare to roll $100 to $900 in 1 hour on 9/6 Jacks without hitting the RF. But I've done the opposite many times...$900 to $100 in 1 hour.

I would not go back _ I would really hate to do that since I've got a winning record lifetime there. I take it your not a regular player and were not playing with your slot club card. That would make all the difference as you complained to upper management.

I imagine you were playing the DDJ near the noodle bar on the back wall of High Limit? Those are old, clunky machines...I would have declined to play anymore if that were the case, and it looks like you did.
Also, on the slot progressive, it says on all machines "Malfunction voids all pays and plays." So, they can always employ the "It was a malfunction" rule...however, if it was a sizeable amount, I would have went to a higher-up...
