On a recent trip to Vegas I was playing single line DB and was
dealt a 9-10-J-Q-K of clubs. I held the straight flush and collected
my 250 credit reward. The bartender on duty said that he would have
held the 10-K and gone for the royal.>
Remember bartenders EXPECT tips on all hand pays. Unless you are playing
$5+ machines a 250-coin is not a hand pay. It has been my experience
that bartenders will "advise" you to be more aggressive then recommended
when going for aces at DB or deuces in DW when a handpay may occur. Have
I ranted about how much I hate bartop machines lately?
If you could win all the time it wouldn't be gambling, it would only be a
job.
