STP - Multiplier Frequency?

If it is a legitimate IGT machine, the multiplier comes up on average once
every 15 hands period!
The RNG picks from 40 possible results. 9 each for 2x, 3x, 4x and 5x and 2
each for 8x and 10x. This works out to an average of 4.05x.
The once every 15 hands and 4.05x average are shown in the help screen for
this game.
Since it is random I have sometimes played 100 hands without it (ouch) and
also had three in four hands (yeah!!).

Subject: [vpFREE] STP - Multiplier Frequency?

I recently spent a lot of time playing 5 play 9/6 STP at two different
LV casinos. It seemed to me that the frequency of the multiplier was
distinctly different between the two places. Does anyone know if the
multiplier (bonus) is progammable or does it operate randomly in
conjunction with the RNG? I returned repeatedly to the casino where
the multiplier came seemed to come into play more often. Each session
at that casino was positive. At the other casino, my sessions were
short and not sweet.

Any insights?

Thanks.

I sometimes play 9/6 JOB STP at one of the Indiana casinos. I kept
track of my play over the past couple of months. Out of 4232 separate
deals, I was dealt 303 hands of two pair or better and 559 hands of
one high pair. I received the following multipliers: 2X--49 times;
3X--80 times; 4X--49 times; 5X--69 times; 8X--14 times; and 10X--9
times. I received the multiplier a total of 270 hands; 17 of those
multiplier hands I was dealt two pair or better and 42 of those
multiplier hands I was dealt one high pair.
I averaged 15.67 hands between multipliers with an average
multiplier of 4.00--both very close to the manufacturer's claims given
my relatively small number of hands.
There were 14 times when I did not receive a multiplier for between
40 and 72 hands. Those droughts can kill you.
I started keeping track because I didn't believe IGT's claims for
the multiplier, but I think they are right on the mark.
