We have to cash ours before the end of the month and the best I can find now (casino or non-casino) is a 10% bonus at Albertson's grocery store. Anyone have a better choice here in Vegas?

Jean, how does the Alberton's deal work? Do you have to spend the
whole deal in the store (check and bonus), do you get a gift card for
the 10%, and cash for your check or what? Sounds like a reasonable

You get the whole thing (basic check amount and bonus) in gift cards - I believe this is right, but we still have to do it to make sure. But it expires Thursday, the 31st.

So can you use the Albertson's gift card to buy other gift cards (or
even prepaid Visa cards), which Albertson's has at all the
checkstands? If so, this is a pretty good offer as you wont be
locked into spending the money at Albertson's. Sure there's a vig on
for prepaid Visas, but you still should come out ahead.

Smith's has the same thing. $300 check gets you $330, $600 check
gets you $660 and $1200 check gets you $1320. All are issued in gift
cards, but I don't know if you have a time limit on them. Their
offer expires today ( 7/31/08 ).

Can't use a gift card to purchase different gift cards. However, we ended up buying Smith gift cards which can also be used at Food 4 Less, where Brad usually shops (he does almost all of our grocery shopping).

Walmart sells a wide variety of gift cards, and I have used Walmart
