After hours of practice on the Winpoker cd I am finally playing consistently at 99%
accuracy. Since my luck was good in casinos before achieeving this level of play, I
am considering playing three line DB on my next trip to LV. Assuming 10/7 pay
schedules, are there some brands of machines that are more comfortable to play
than others. Being an older player, size of card display would be one concern.
Would like to hear machine preference for any reason though. Ray
Stepping up to 3 line dbvp
Ray;
Winpoker shows both your overall accuracy and your "ER accuracy" (the Return% in the area that says Error Effect on Total Return". It's the latter that's important.
If you are achieving 99% correct on playing errors, the ER accuracy is most likely around 99.9+%. You should be aiming for at least 99.95%
ER accuracy.
As for the rest (I'm a geezer myself):
For most players (but not all), slant tops are much more comfortable and cause fewer shoulder problems. When playing uprights, usually the wood chairs with a high straight back cause less strain.
Vision: I have vision problems myself.
Multiplays have smaller cards than single plays, but modern Triple Plays are still fairly easy to see. When you approach a bank of machines that are mostly empty, look for the one with the brightest screen (there are almost always differences within a bank of machines. Finally, you might try out low powered reading glasses from the drugstore. Try different strengths, looking at something about as far away as the machine monitor would be.
I keep a pair or two of "Playing glasses" in my car. Two for $9.99 from Savon. <g>

VP machines away from those 5c Wheel Of Fortune or Caveman Video Keno
would be a good choice otherwise bring a headset with you 'coz those
slot machines are very loud. Were these machines placed there by the
casinos intentionally to make sure you're not able to concentrate
well on playing the vp machines???
As many have already suggested before, play on machines from IGT,
Ballys, etc.
