I'm sure to some it seems that I'm treading a fine line between
calling a snippet "racist" and it simply being politically incorrect.
But I think it's pretty clear cut that the "collecting ..." text is
very inappropriate.

I bristled in reading it and overreacted a bit. It would have been
sufficient for me to simply say it was in poor taste.

For what it's worth, I found the concluding paragraph not to be very
witty and best omitted. But that's hardly something to overtly object to.
