Status of Stations Purchase of the Palms

I heard unofficially that Stations Casinos won't be taking over the Palms until October. And I don't see anything on the Gaming Commission's August agenda pertaining to the sale.

However, a few changes have already been made. New ticket redemption machines have been installed that are just like the ones at Red Rock. And they even give you five $20's for the last hundred just like Stations.

The Palms slot director is now "Director of Gaming Operations at Affinity Gaming - Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino".

what do you suppose will happen to Palms "old points"? I still have several hundred dollars worth.

thanks
jas

About cash-out machines: "...they even give you five $20's for the last hundred..."

Does anyone other than me think that this is very annoying?

Yes, IT is annoying, but it's only a machine that has been programmed to do that. It probably saves a little time at cashiers' windows with people asking to have a Benjie changed into five Andy's.
What is REALLY annoying is when they are paying you out handpays, and the last hundred turns into 5 twenties, suggesting very strongly that at least one of them should go into the pocket of the slot attendant who kept you waiting for 15-20 minutes to get paid.
What is REALLY, REALLY annoying is the slot attendant who brings you the five twenties after you specifically requested "all large, please".
Of course, THAT slot attendant really saves you money because then the tip you give them is, "The customer is always right"

Yes- I find it annoying when the change machine breaks the last $100 down to small bills. If I want small bills, I can put that $100 back in for it.

You can avoid receiving 5 twenties by cashing out at $20 more than the even
hundred. One 20 is better than 5 of them. Still annoying.
