Today at GVRS, I asked a nice lady named Karen (she walks around the casino
signing up people for the slot club) to find out for me if mailings and player
levels will be based upon points or coin-in, after January 1.
After about half an hour, she returned. She told me she had spoken with her
boss, and he had told her positively that everything will be based on points
earned, not on coin-in. He said that everything has always been based on points
earned (before multipliers are counted), and that would continue after Jan. 1.
Assuming this is true, we (who play "full pay" machines) will truly have to
play twice as much to maintain our current benefits--earned points, player
level, and mailings.
This info comes from one person, who could conceivably be mistaken. I suggest
you ask your Station hosts, slot club supervisors, or slot directors the same
question I asked, just to be sure. If everyone gives the same lousy answer,
well, (as Charlie Brown would say) RATS!
Karen suggested I write Station's Corporate Office to complain, if I feel
that the $2/point thing is unfair. Sure worked with Coast, right?
