Some/most of you may already be aware of this, but I wasn't. Points
used for purchases are not always converted at a 600:1 ratio. For
night clubs, the food court, the pro shop, and the spa/salon, points
are coverted at 1000:1.

Good point! Another good tip is that if you achieve one of their various
levels, then the buffet is usually the redemption offer with the best
return. Even as Gold, it¹s only 450 points per $1 off the buffet.
I do have a few related questions for you Station¹s Veterans, though...
1) Is the amount of free slot play they send in the monthly calendar of
offers based on coin-in or points earned? I¹m wondering if $1 into a 100%
plus VP machine gets you just as much in FSP offers as $1 into a short pay
VP machine.
2) For buffet offers in the monthly mailers, I always get offers valid just
about anywhere BUT Green Valley Ranch. However, GVR has my favourite buffet
(because of the crab legs). I always assumed that no one got 2 for 1 buffet
offers for GVR, but last time I was there, I saw someone redeem one. I got
my Boarding Pass at GVR, but play mostly at Red Rock. What do I need to do
to get the GVR buffet offers? It¹s on the other side of town for me, so I
don¹t really want to go there for my regular play, but I certainly don¹t
mind driving down there for crab legs!
3) I usually play up at Red Rock. Does anyone know the coin-in/points
earned requirements to get room and/or spa comps or SIGNIFICANT discounts up
there? If I¹m not going to ever get anything along those lines based on my
level play, then I might be more tempted to spread my play amongst a few
different Station Casinosespecially to avoid the weekend crowds up at Red
Rocksince I won¹t loose anything by doing so.
4) Can I earn Boarding Pass points at Fiestas? Or do I need to also sign up
for an Amigo card if I go to a Fiesta?
5) Does anyone know if you need to swipe your card at Points Plus kiosks for
point multiplier offers BEFORE you play, or can you do it anytime after you
play and before you leave and still get the multiplier on points earned
before you swiped?
6) What¹s the general opinion on Station Casinos amongst members here? I
like that you can earn slot club points all over Las Vegas, and their
program is pretty easy to understand. I find that the atmosphere at Red
Rock is pretty good, too. But, am I missing out by limiting myself to
Stations?
I¹m interested to know your thoughts!
Cheers,
