It was Skip. Their VP was mediocre for a local's casino, and they kept buying up all the best local's casinos: Santa Fe, Fiesta, Reserve. Now, especially with the demise of Coast Casinos VP, they are among the better plays in town, basically by remaining unchanged. Things have definitely gone downhill in Fabulous Las Vegas.

Stations was the OLD Evil Empire. I'm not sure, but John Kelly or I
might have been the first to call them that, but it's ancient history
now. Stations is not evil at all any more, they're among the best. Even
at their worst, they were never in the class of Harrah's which has
basically declared war on video poker players everywhere.
