Stations offer - Get-It-Back Guarantee up to $500

oh, gee, gosh... i don't know... putting religion and , um, "serious
mental problem(s)" aside for a moment: i was at caesar's palace in
atlantic city sometime last month and for over six hours all they played
were theme songs from james bond movies... over and over again. i must
have heard "goldfinger" at least twenty times.

turns out they were having a themed-dinner and showing of one of the
007 movies that night. they thought it would be fun to get folks in the
mood by playing james bond tunes relentlessly. that might be fine
for a casual player (though a bit odd, since nobody knew why they were
playing the tunes), but to have to sit there for six hours or more
while the
same eight or nine songs played again and again?

sheer torture.

after all, "noise" is any sound that doesn't please you personally.

as far as religion is concerned, for every "rudolph" and "santa
claus," there
are choruses of "christ the savior is born," "the lord is come" and
"glory to
the new born king." some "holiday" music played in public places is
pretty
darn religious.

as for having "a serious mental problem," it seems as if the original
poster
demonstrated an unwillingness to tolerate music s/he found annoying.

s/he did not demonstrate an unwillingness to tolerate a particular
religion.

in any case, would either of those things qualify as a "serious mental
problem?"

as you mention december, I assume you are referring to christmas
music. If you think rudolphy the red nosed reindeer, white christmas,
santa claus is coming to town, etc. is shoving one religion down your
throat, then you have a serious mental problem.

I have stayed away from the stations casinos (mainly Palace as I
played there for several stays) due two insane policies and how they
handled them, thus perhaps I might get the offer and will let you know
how it turns out.
FWIW the the insane policies are:

1) Failure to stop the policy of calling your room asking if you want
service even when the do not disturb sign is displayed.
2) Lack of diversity in Dec in the choice of background music shoving
one religion down everyone's throats with their background music song
after song after song after song, etc.etc, and their stubborness in
defending this insanity.

Since no one forced the original poster to stay at the offending casino, leaving, if one is uncomfortable for ANY reason, is ALWAYS an option. That goes for the annoyed James Bond music listener as well.
