Is it absolutely necessary to get new cards to continue playing at
Stations now to be eligible for the Jumbo Jackpots? How long are the
lines to get new cards?
It is not necessary to have a new card (this is directly from Stella, the slot club mgr. at Sunset). I think this is a great way to get the people who were President and have dropped down to change their cards (I am speaking from personal experience). We could not see any big advantage to being President except 75% off the Green Valley Station buffet. We only eat there about once a month because they always have the same thing.
In answer to your question on Strat points and the change over, Scott, we had no problem. We lost no cashback or comp dollars.
Maybe there was a breakeven point where they dumped when the new system went into effect. Who knows....they are all getting so paranoid and secretive!
One other note at Strat. I was setting at an end 10/7DB machine, George was getting paid for a royal at the next one. Three women came up and asked me if this was MegaBucks. I said no, then they started to put their hands all over the glass above my playing surface, talking about the payouts and what you needed, nonstop jabber. I asked them to move to another machine because they were distracting me. The minute I said the word "distract" - my brain clicked in and I grabbed my purse (it was on my shoulder). It was open and my wallet was on the floor. The woman standing behind me said "oh, look, your wallet is on the floor, you should be more carefull." I just looked at her and counted my money. All was intact. I keep my wallet on a bungee cord attached to a clip in my purse. I have a feeling if it had not been attached, it would have been kicked out of my sight and I would have been feeling like a novice tourist!! We notified security on our way out.
