Stations Casinos - are slot cards linked?

For the nitpicky, the correct name is "Station Casinos", not "Stations
Casinos".
GVR and SS are on the same Boarding Pass card. Any mail you receive for
your play at Sunset (including free play) will NOT be good at GVR. It
likely will be good at Boulder, Palace, Texas, and Santa Fe. I'm
guessing that Red Rock, when it opens in three weeks, will also be
linked to the Boarding Pass, but its mail will be separate. Whether you
can cash mailers at BOTH GVR and Red Rock (but not the others) remains
to be seen, but it is largely irrelevant because the two properties are
a considerable distance apart and few players will frequent both on a
regular basis
Fiesta requires the Amigo Card --- which is not the same as a Boarding
Pass.
Once earned, the points are largely interchangeable, but you must earn
them separately. Both GVR and SS have excellent buffets (considerably
different from each other) that rank at the top of locals' buffets . The
Fiesta buffet should be avoided.

I'm not so sure about that...Stations does not own GVR 100%, while I
believe RR is 100% owned. While I understand why you might think this,
and it's certainly possible, my understand was that GVR was kept
separate because of the partner-which makes sense from a licensing
standpoint.
Whether you get GVR or all but GVR mail depends on where your ci is
greater over a 90-day period. You can try to switch it back if you get
the wrong mail, but it's a chore and you really have to stay on the
booth to do so.

Sunset isn't bad, GVR is a little overrated but also not bad. Fiesta
buffet is pretty much inedible, although I tried the coffee shop not
too long ago (at gunpoint, I might add), and it was actually ok.

I don't know how recently you've eaten there. They have recently
undergone a major buffet redesign and it has been open about a month or
so. It is quite excellent now.

I agree, probably the best in the chain. I am actually a little bit in
shock the food quality is a notch better than the average Stations
feed. Still, I prefer to pay and eat at my local Sweet Tomatoes when
in town. I remember, and you probably do too, when the coffee shop at
Palace was considered one of the best in town (mid '90s).

While I certainly agree that Sunset Station has the best buffet of the Stations chain (for
now; let's see how RR will compare), I found it to be the most tasteless of all buffet food
I've ever had at a Stations casino. The meat was very tender, but had no flavor, the garlic
and horseradish potatoes had very little flavor and tasted nearly the same (hint to buffet
cooks - clean out the bowl between dishes). I could go on, but I found that absolutely
nothing, including the few Chinese dishes I ate, had any flavor, and my tablemates all felt
the same way and no one expressed any interest in going back (without a spice carousel).
On the other hand, the Fiesta Henderson buffet so maligned here has excellent pizza (on
most days; some days are better than others), very tender and tasty chicken at the carving
board, and a better basic salad bar selection than GVR. They also usually have several
kinds of fruit, and if you pay extra for the steaks, you'll find the attendant usually very
good at preparing it just the way you want. I like the clam strips on days I allow myself
fried food, and the only thing I really can't eat there are the lo mein noodles - always cold,
unfortunately.
To each is own, I suppose, but I'll take Fiesta over Sunset any day of the week (and both
over GVR)!

ok, sure some of them aren't very good...but i bet i could put
together a big enough salad at any of those that would be worth it
if the buffet was comped (kinda hard to mess up raw vegies)...and if
i knew the dishes well enough there would be a couple that are
edible...
