STATIONS' ABSURD CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT

That's the way of class action lawsuits. Scumball attorneys (like a certain
1 term Senator running for Vice President), make millions. Those of us who
supposedly were "damaged" receive little money, or coupons that are
worthless (ie: Microsoft). I received a letter that I was part of a class
action suit that had been settled with a financial institution. They had
used some sort of illegal action. My award? A check for $1.60. It's time we
changed our legal system to stop the gravy train for lawyers, and start
letting those of us affected get the awards.

I got this in the mail and promptly shredded it. First off the amount isn't
worth the trouble and if you read the fine print is says its not valid with
any other offers or promotions (or something similar to that) which means
its
probably $3.00 and $2.50 off the rack rate and who would pay the rack rate
for a
room anyway? It also says it was not vaild with bookings done by orbitz,
and other on-line booking agencies. No wonder Stations casinos choose to
settle the suit in this manner, it will cost them nothing except attorney
fees
which some shyster attorney will pocket, while the persons who the suit was
intended for will get pennies, if that.
