Popcorn is a huge profit center - I think they could give you the movie if
you promised to buy the popcorn!!

I'm not the expert on points here, but I remember swapping points not only for movie tickets, but also for Certificates in $5 increments to purchase food & drinks inside the movie theaters--and the rates are discounted if you use the self-service Rewards Center.

Rob,
You (and all of us) used to be able to do exactly what you described.
Stations changed their policy on using points for refreshmants inside
the movie theatres. I think the change happened around February 1,
2003.

Now you have to spend "real" money and you cannot use your points.
