Here's another indication of the Station's cash crunch:
The 2 for 1 buffet coupons Fiesta sent us for January cannot be used with points. The one buffet you pay for must be paid with cash. That was also true of the daily 2 for 1 coupons they had in the newspaper every day earlier this month.
We have also gotten a lot of 1000 points in Stations current daily swipe promo, especially lately. Earlier we had two 6x point days, $5 and $10 food and some free bingo.

Thought it might be fun -- in a gallows humor sense -- to
compile a
list of the unusual things that are happening lately at
Station
Casinos that bode ill for the future of the company.I'll start:
1.) The seemingly-permanent hiatus of the Jumbo Jackpot.
Remember a
few weeks back when an "all new" Jumbo was
announced and they
indicated it would get underway once all the local Station
jumbos hit?
Well, the last one hit nearly a month ago and we're
still waiting.2.) Bounceback cash mailers that all-of-a-sudden don't
fit Station's
longstanding patterns. My December mailer had about half
the cashback
I was expecting, given my level of play and historical
patterns. I
know several others that have experienced similar cutbacks.3.) A whole lotta nothing on the "daily swipe"
promo. I have swiped
12 times now and received 1,000 points EVERY SINGLE TIME!
Is anybody
getting more?4.) Random Station restaurants that are suddenly charging
for refills
for soda. A seemingly small matter, but when they've
been offering
free refills for years and all of a sudden stop, with no
posted
notice, it makes you wonder: was THIS what was keeping
Stations from
being solvent? I'm looking at you, Turf Grill at Red
Rock.I don't know about you all, but I've cleaned out my
point balance on
my Stations card. They'll probably go Chapter 11 and
continue
operations, but still... you never know...
