Just returned from four days in LV where I managed in great style to
join the ranks of the Net Losers For The Year. Yuck! I hate this
club, and no longer want to be a member. I'll post my complaint-
filled trip report later; just wanted to give an update on the
inventory at Stardust.
Yes, all the good plays are still gone from the 3/5 play nickel
machines. I had this dream where they were all miraculously
returned, but it turned out to be just that.
There is some good news, however. On both sides of the Keno area
there are facing banks of 8 slant tops labeled "Game King Keno".
All 16 machines have $.25 NSUD, and five on each side (10 total) are
multi-denom with NSUD in $.25, $.50, and $1.00.
This marks the return of $.50 plays to the Stardust which makes me
happy. I've been sad ever since they took out the $.50 JoB
uprights. Sig Oth and I hit these machines every day and we saw
only one other person playing VP on them—everyone else was playing
Keno. I like the machine on the north side on the far right end
facing the Baccarat Bar because it has a green background and I
could watch the Strip crowds during the day and the Riviera neon at
night. I certainly wasn't distracted by any winning hands showing
up on my screen.
