I recently received a Stardust offer which included either (my choice)
a $500 Macy's shopping spree or $500 in promotional gaming chips.
Does anyone know if these chips are the typical "dealer keeps them win
or lose" or the much better "dealer keeps them only if you lose"? The
latter would actually be worth nearly $500 while the former are only
worth about half that.

Hi Chief:
I was at the Stardust with a friend who received $250 in promo chips a
couple of months ago. We played BJ and the dealers only kept the chips
when he lost. He had a good run and scored a nice win before he lost
the last promo chip. He didn't like that they wouldn't rate him on his
promo chip play, but it made sense to me since he didn't have any money
at risk.
This is a nice promotion, and I'll be working on my rating at Stardust
(which has dropped significantly) on my next trip.
