Stardust Quickie

Haven't been to the Strip's northern region for quite a while, so
when when a room offer from the Stardust showed up in my mailbox
recently, I used it. The hotel seems fresher and brighter than I'd
remembered, and our room was very nice. The VP noted in the data base
was almost all where it was supposed to be, except I couldn't find
any 8/5 Super Aces "scattered around the casino." The 3-play nickel
machines at the the entrance to the shopping mall do offer 8/5 SA,
however, and 5-play JOB as well.(All the games shown in the data base
for this bank are still there).

Three doors down at Slots-A-Fun, you can still play Pick'em next to
three of the loudest Wheel Of Fortune machines in the universe, and,
if you bring a bucket of quarters, progressive Aces and Eights too.
Go late at night and you'll share the funky smoke drenched ambiance
with large bands of tattooed but extremely cheerful young folk. I
couldn't find any decent VP at Circus Circus, but that doesn't mean
anything. Just past the Krispy Kreme kiosk I became disoriented and
delusional.

I was disappointed to see that the single deck 6 to 5 BJ tables at
the 'Dust, the Ho and SAF were mostly full. The last time I was in
the area (18 months ago?) both the HO and SAF ran legitimate single
deck games and the Stardust offer double decks with what used to be
called "strip rules." If people continue to embrace the insulting 6-5
ripoff, these inferior games will never go away.

The VP noted in the data base was almost all where it was supposed to
be, except I couldn't find any 8/5 Super Aces "scattered around the
casino."

The DataBase shows "25c 8/5 Ace$ (99.4%) uprights scattered
around casino". The last of the 8/5 Super Aces in the DataBase
went MIA in SEP 2004.

The 3-play nickel machines at the the entrance to the shopping mall
do offer 8/5 SA, however, and 5-play JOB as well.(All the games shown
in the data base for this bank are still there).

The DataBase has been updated to include the 5c SA.
