STARDUST MAILERS
I don't know what their absolute bottom number is for mailers, but you should get something in the mail for 5k and up (best guess). I'd guess about a 3 month lag at most.

Last year I played at Stardust to take advantage of a very generous
sign-up bonus, I believe it was 7.5% bounce back cash, up to $100. So
I played $1,500 to get my $100 and this was enough to generate buy
one night at $39 get the second night free (plus $10 cash). These
offers started right after I returned, maybe one month lag, and come
now every month like clockwork.

Once you get established the offers do come like clockwork. Higher play
generates free room/cash offers, shopping sprees and tournaments. If you
have no history there, the Dust used to send out an E mail offer for those
that signed up online for their slot card.

I've spent a lot of time in 2004 at the Stardust with two of us
playing on separate cards. These are my general observations:
If you run $3,000 to maybe $8,000 through, you will get the monthly
$25 bounceback and two free nights. Somewhere over $8,000 coin in
seems to get the bump to $50 bb and 3 nights. They do hit our
mailboxes regularly, and we have Jan, Feb, and Mar already. I have a
friend that gets $100 bb regularly, but I don't know what his coin-in
is (it's significantly more than mine), nor do I know how many room
nights he gets.
What I don't like is they will hit your comp bank for casino rate
each night when you use the room offers, so it can be more difficult
to get additional comps unless you really concentrate your play
there. In a stay before Christmas, we were hit for $43 per night on
the "free" room offer. It would have been better for us to book the
$25 per night through December offer we received by email and then
have them apply the comps to that total rather than use the "free"
rooms. Live and learn.

I was checking out I had about $60 in comps, the host said this was

Very true. You must "pay" for your room with your comp $$$$ prior to any other comps., They expect 800 pts/day on regular 3 nite offers. When I stayed at the Westward Ho and played at the Stardust I got many more food comps to the amount of about 2.5 times the cash back earned on VP. But you can't save the comps to next trip. You can get comps to use at the snack bar for food for the plane trip or while waiting at the airport to use up your comp $$$$ and th equality is better as well.
