Standard deviation for sessions or longer?

I think that knowing the standard deviation of a particular game has limited value. For myself, it's just a tool for comparison.

But knowing the SD for a 5,000 hand session, for 100,000 hands, or more, would allow a player to expect results within 1 SD of the mean 68% of the time, 2 SDs of the mean 95% of the time, and so on.

Through forumula or simulation, has anyone published these figures?

SD (hands) = sqrt(variance x hands)
