Heading there Labor day wknd, isnt there a Harrahs near by? If
not, whwere is the best place to find 9/6 VP nearby???

It's in Maryland Heights, nice facility. Book the room early. I
believe a number of FP games are available there, from a 99.6 version
of AA (which Skip Hughes calls "anti-American") to "Mississippi" 10-7
DB (239 coins on the generic quads and SF, to avoid tax forms for $5
players), and if I remember correctly, NSUD. There are two casinos,
the better games are all in high limit in one of the casinos.

The NSUD, 10/7/239 DB and 10/6/239 DDB were all downgraded about a
year ago. There's a grand total of ONE 9/6 JB at Harrahs now,
located on the Island side in a bank of eight "99%+" games (best game
being a Triple Bonus Plus machine). NONE of these eight machines
earns bonus RCs, so comp rate is only 0.1%.

If 9/6 JB is your game, you might consider Ameristar. Sameday CB is
0.25% (vs 0.10% at Harrahs) and Ameri* offers discretionary comps at
the rate of around 0.4%. There are several 9/6 JB machines near the
craps tables for quarters and halves.

Unless you'll be playing on Sunday (when Harrahs has 5x pts), you're
better off at Ameristar.

If The TB+ is 9-5, it's 99.8%. Sorry to hear of the downgrades. I
doubt I'll be there anytime soon, but you never know.

Two problems with Ameristar: no rooms and no mail for non-locals. If
you need a room, Harrah's makes more sense. Isn't there $1 Jacks in
High limit at Ameristar?

Ameristar hosts are generally pretty generous with room comps to the
(VERY nice) Embasssy Suites that's nearby. Ask for Tony Massud if you
need a room.

Mail is generally poor for non locals, but they do send it. I've recd
mailers from their Jackpot, Vicksburg and KC properties in the past.

The $ JB machine in HL was downgraded in Jan of '05.
