SS Card

<You shouldn't need your SS card; I never have. Just>
<give them proper ID and your SS#.>

I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but
about a year ago I hit a $4,000 royal at the Stardust
and they told me they couldn't pay me if I didn't have
my Social Security card. This was from a supevisor and
not a regular slot attendant. Until then I didn't
carry my social security card with me. He finally
agreed to accept my Health Insurance Card which had my
Social Security number on it. He said people were
giving them incorrect social security numbers.

That is the only time it's happened to me but I
started carrying my social security card in my wallet
after that.

I've been advised NOT to carry a SS card or anything
with my SS# on it. The reason: identity theft. In fact,
my health insurance company recently stopped using
SS# on their cards, and issued new ID numbers to
everyone due to concerns about identity theft.
