Spirit Airlines Press Release

I just got back from Vegas today. We flew Spirit. NEVER AGAIN! I
realize that flying coach will provide you with meager space for your legs, but
this was ridiculous! I am 6'2 and spent 4 hours from Detroit to Las Vegas,
literally without an inch of space with which to move my legs.

Something didn't seem right with the spacing on the plane. Our Flight
Attendant told us about a year ago, they refitted the airplanes to put in
another two rows. This Airbus went from 24 to 26 rows. You can imagine the
result of this maneuver. I would gladly pay another $20 to have a bit
more leg room and not be nickled and dimed to death by an airline like Spirit.

Your right about this. I just looked up on SeatGuru and Spirit Airlines has least amount of space of all American carriers. 28" seat pitch and the seats don't recline. Compare to US Airways which has 31"-32" seat pitch. I guess this is how Spirit can price seats at $9. If you are 6'2 you are in trouble anyway when you fly. Airline seats are for people about 5'7 or smaller. I can't even fathom how bad it was on Spirit.
