Therefore, assuming 9 lines in play, would you rather have the draws
come from one deck (Spin Poker)or instead be playing a multi-play
machine with the draws coming from 9 individual decks? That,in
essence, is my question - which game in the long run will make us
more money?
Without belaboring the details, the spinpoker format doesn't change
play ER, therefore spinpoker and 10-play have roughly comparable
results expectations.
However, there's a very large difference in bankroll requirements --
spinpoker doesn't smooth out play results nearly to the extent that
multiline play does.
Because spinpoker is played from a single deck, it adds a play
dependency (relationship between one hand and another) not present in
multiline - other than held cards, any other card may only appear in
one of the horizontal hands, increasing variance. Likewise, the
intersection of lines in spinpoker adds yet another play dependency.
I haven't come across a calculation of spinpoker variance. However,
from experience, I can say that the typical $1 single line player will
find $.25 10-play a rather comfortable ride but will experience more
tension in their gut when giving $.25 spinpoker a whirl.
Consequently, I'd suggest that 10-play is a more efficient application
of bankroll than spinpoker.
