Spin Poker is an interesting, exciting game, but you better have the correct strategy down pat or you will lose a ton of money. Find the correct strategy online.
VPP, this is true but what isn't obvious from your statement is that the strategy for Spin poker is the same stragety as for the single line version of the game. In other words, if you play spin poker 9/6 Jacks or Better, that is the same strategy as 9/6 Jacks or Better spin poker.
Now, the variance of the game is a whole other story.?To date, I haven't seen anyone tackle the variance calculation in spin poker.
Here is why spin poker is different from multi line poker. In SP, if you are dealt 3 sevens, you will make 0 , 2, 3 or 5 quads. There is no way to make 1 quad. The most common occurence will be 0 quads, followed by 3 quads then 2 quads then 5 quads. In multiline, there is some probability of hitting 0 - 9 quads ( assuming there was a 9 line multiplay machine).
The difference on the royal flush is even more pronounced.
So, I agree it can be exciting and you need a wheel barrel full of cash, but there are no strategy changes for the spin version of a game.
