spin poker?

I have been recently forced to play spin poker under certain promotions .

the best games are 8/5 bonus and 15/9 NSU.

I only play close attention when holding 2 aces or 2 deuces in each game.but It seems that I can only fill one of each needed card in any of the 3 open columns. ace or duck

Am I correct, or this just seems so?

Yes. Each card can only appear once.

Which is why if you play Spin Poker using only 3 lines, you actually see a lower variance than playing regular 3-play. (Not by much, but it’s lower).

Math challenged here. Does it also follow then that playing 5 lines of 9/6 JOB spin poker will have a slightly lower volatility (variance?) than regular 5-play?

I don’t see how 3 line spin poker is any different than regular 3 play. Just as single line spin poker is the same as single line regular poker. The co-variance is the same. The 3 lines do not overlap and any held card is held in all 3 hands.

In 5 play spin poker there are now 2 more lines that are part of the other 3 lines so yes the variance is now lower than regular 5 play. After the initial deal and hold certain positions are more inportant because they affect more than one line.

The reason why the variance is lower is the effect of jackpot hands.

If you’re drawing to RF4 on 3-line, you’ll get some results of no royals, some results of 1 royal, some of 2, and perhaps once in a lifetime, all 3.

When you draw to RF4 on 3-line Spin Poker, the only possible results are 0 royals and 1 royal. Because there are no repeated cards on screen. You have 3 interdependent chances at the missing card (1 in 47, 1 in 46, and 1 in 45) rather than 3 independent chances each at 1 in 47.

Spin Poker variance is higher than regular play for all cases above 3 lines. Because a drawn card triggers multiple paying lines. But for exactly 3 lines, it’s lower. (Someone else can link to the Wizard Of Odds page that gives the exact differences).

Thanks

Then I am not getting an honest redeal of 9 out of 47 cards or else 2 aces could appear in the same row.?

perhaps this will force me to play 1 line, or maybe just 3, but I had been playing 9 lines @ .25 to more quickly max out the promo.

Playing just 3 lines on Spin Poker has lower variance than Triple Play VP because of what is called the “effect of removal”. Because only one deck is involved in the Spin Poker game you have slightly better odds of completing your draws.

As you play more and more lines of Spin Poker your variance goes up considerably. There is a price to be paid for being able to catch 9 Royals on Spin Poker Deluxe. 5 Line Spin Poker has more variance than 5 Play Video Poker because of the overlapping paylines. 3 Line Spinpoker has no overlap.
