Amen.
For instance, the vast majority of hands we're only trying to break even or
get a modest return. Normal speed for me.
Then comes the rare big hand where we're dealt 4 to a royal or dealt quads.
I've conditioned myself to stop, look & make sure I've got the hold buttons
down then take my time to hit Deal/Draw. Speed be damned in these situations.
Have I screwed up in these situations. Yeah when I was a rookie, but not
recently.
Biggest mistakes now are forgetting what the promotion is & not taking
advantage of it. For instance, a COD promotion which needs to be called out to the
change people. You'll never want to partner with me as I've played past too
many of these that I'm probably approaching 4 figures now. The only saving grace
is that it's costing less as the promotions get smaller.
