A vpFREE member has only two obligations (both of which are
largely unenforceable):
From vpFREE Rules and Policies - "MEMBER PARTICIPATION:
Every vpFREE member, as a requirement for continuing membership,
is expected to vote in all applicable vpFREE polls and elections
and to report DataBase inventory changes in casinos they visit."
I believe in competition, free market forces, and that everyone
should be guided by their own best interests (subject to ethical
considerations) and that vpFREE members should post (or not) on
vpFREE as they like, or wherever they like.
Although I never saw a need for any of the Yahoo special interest
video poker forums (Casino Comps, Harrah's Casinos and MGM-Mirage
Casinos), they all announced their groups and solicited members
on vpFREE (with permission, when it was asked) because I believe
that vpFREE members should be exposed to all available video
poker resources.
My point, which I wanted all vpFREE members to consider, is
that these boutique forums are counter-productive to the best
interests of most vpFREE members. The narrowly focused topics
on these forums are core topics on vpFREE. Any discussion of
vpFREE's core topics by vpFREE members on another forum,
rather than on vpFREE, results in duplication, fragmentation and
dilution of vpFREE's coverage, to the detriment of vpFREE
members who prefer one-stop, full-service video poker coverage.
How vpFREE members handle my point is up to each member
individually, as it should be.
Participate, or not, in whatever video poker forum you like, but
be aware of your own best interests and act accordingly.

I always thought the vpFREE administrator as a Civil

stand some competition? Face it, the vpFREE group is not
focused...one size does not fit all. Your Mission statement
would be rejected as being too broad in the business world.

There's no doubt that the intent of vpFA's post was to enhance the

here to the exclusion of other similar groups (or to suggest that
there's an obligation to post here) is misguided.
