I apologize for not condensing this reply into a previous post. I've
sure it looks like I'm spamming the group on this topic.

My info as of a couple of months ago is we were looking at a late June
transition.

In any case, obviously that puts a limit on the practical value of all
the gems I've shared. I'm not fearful that there's going to be any
big changes upon the switch. Colony Capital will have a keen vested
interest in not alienating the more loyal LVH players by ripping out
benefits immediately.

It's actually the case, I suspect, that the cashback cut last year was
definitely in anticipation of a sale in order to avoid sticking the
new owner with the player unfriendly move.

That said, based on Colony's actions at Resorts in AC, I look for far
leaner offerings come next year. They pulled one major cashback cut
half a day into a 3-day 5x cashback promo. That moved them to my, and
many other's, s**t list.

Since I will be there in less than 2 weeks, I will see what I can find out.

I have several employee friends at LVH that have been there over 20
years and will ask what their take is on this.

Might be true, but I thought it was to bring them in line, including the
comps account that was not there before, with the rest of the properties.

I sure hope they don't, but if they do, I'm glad I have another casino
to go to. I will miss it. If they do, I think they will lose a lot of
locals and well established out-of-towners. Granted the convention
center is right next door, but that only fills the hotel. With the
exception of the Annual Rodeo, convention people, on a whole, do not
gamble. I have been told this by many properties and know it to be true
when I worked for a major casino 20 years ago. This is the main reason
room rates on the strip go through the roof during conventions.
